The Gaglioppo
A vine of notable vigour and of a constant good production, it produces a grape of elevated sugar content 18.1% - 27.50%, on average 23.8%. It has medium to high acidity (4.8 - 12.5).

The bunch is medium to large in size, conic or pyramid in shape, short or long, simple or with one or two wings, a short peduncle, and woody until the first ramification. The grape is spherical or oval, with a waxy skin of deep violet, average width and consistency, a sweet but simple tasting pulp, a rosy juice, with two seeds per grape.

Doc Rules
• Red and rose Ciro' D.O.C. must be developed from grapes grown on Gaglioppo vines.
• The production of Red Ciro' DOC also permits the use of grapes derived from Trebbiano Toscano and Greco Bianco vines, but the amount of these varieties must not exceed 5% of the all grapes in an entire vineyard.
