Ciro' DOC Rosso Superiore "Cru"

Cru di Cirò is produced only when there is an exceptional vintage. It is derived from perfectly mature Gaglioppo grapes chosen from a single alberello vineyard..

For the Cru di Cirò the very best Gaglioppo grapes are selected, carefully destalked, crushed and left to macerate for a duration that permits the ideal extraction of fruit, colour and tannins. Roberto Linardi follows attentively the fermentation and maturation of this wine for 3 years when it is bottled and rested for a further six months prior to its release.

Cru di Cirò is garnet red and even when young reveals terracotta reflections. Its nose is subtle, slowly revealing scents of spices, rose buds and black cherry. It has a full body with good intensity on the palate, pleasant tannins and a long elegant finish. Cru di Cirò has an excellent cellar life and will be appreciated for at least 5 years from the date of harvest.
